It comes in 3 grades: Clear 1st grade, Select and Better 2nd grade, and Natural 3rd grade. The Clear is the cleanest grade. It has the least amount of color and there are no knots in the wood. The Select and Better includes more color variation and a few small knots in the wood. The Natural is also referred to as #1 and #2 Common. The Natural will have a lot of color including mineral streaks, sticker stains, and knots. Sticker stains refer to what happens to the wood when they are stacked while drying.
